good job, nice tube lengths.

what plate have you got in the TDX by the way ?

i wouldnt have chosed 'pc ice' btu thats just me.
also leak testing out side the case is well... you know lol.

but yea, nice job, this your first one ?

Hi,

The TDX is just a stock nozzle in it, havent changed anything since i got it, not sure what you mean about plate? Sorry if im missing something obvious (probably am......again :p )

I mixed the pc ice with dionized water, 75water/25 pc ice, just wanted some blue in there.

And yep, this is my first shot at watercooling! :D Great fun!

If I was gonna leak test, the first place I'd think about doing it is outside the case. :)

But then, I've only set up one water cooling system myself so don't think of mysefl as a pro.

Still, nice work Logic Zero. I'm hoping to get back into watercooling in the new year. Miss my old setup too much :(

Sweet. That case is massive Lol. You should come london sometime and help me setup wc, I'm a total noob in it.
Oops missed your post lol, yeh the case is massive, i could probably fit my little brother in there and lock him in........

*contempates actually doing this*

Set up your watercooling? Lol im a noob too, this is my first time :)

Thanks :) Yeh my first time so i didn't want to fry anything by doing something stupid as usual :p

nice. i have a thermaltake armour and i was thinking of doing the EXACT same thing with the side panel lol.

what parts did you buy for that water cooling system there please?

allso is it nice and quiet? im not sure if i should get a fan water cooling or the zalman fanless one.

It's not quite that clear cut - try making a post over on Overclocking and Cooling and see what comes out. Many of the 'powered' water cooled systems are extremely quiet as they run quiet fans at 5V anyway. I have a Zalman Reserator (after seeing Yewen's setup) and it is fitted to a current system that I am using. However it only really does the same job as the best air coolers as the flow rate isn't that special and the radiator does a decent job, but isn't the best. It is completely silent though. There are no fans running in the case at all. It is somewhat spooky as you can't actually tell if it's on unless the hard drives or optical drives are spinning (or you're actually using it  ).

Therefore, in the interests of buying something stupidly expensive that will allow ultimate overclocking and true silence, I have been investigating the possibility with a custom system designer (who I'm not allowed to mention apparently) of getting a proper passive water cooling system built. Imagine (you have my permission to drool too) a Lian Li V series case with two massive Cape Cora radiators bolted to the sides. Water-tight quick release connectors allow the side panels to be removed for maintenance. Inside, two VERY quiet pumps positively whoosh water around two water cooling loops. One for the SLi graphics cards and hard drives, the other for the processor. Naturally such systems are expensive (£400+ and that's not including the case or the builder's fees) and it's taking me a little while to save up/justify sticking it on my plastic but it's definitely coming together...

Sweet looking setup, however I am a complete advocate of using metal jubilee clips :D not those flashy nylon ones ;)

Have to say I really really want to get back into watercooling :( been years since I had my setup.

Yeh i cut out the sidepanel because everyone who has an armor or kandalf has the same naff side panel design, liked it at first but then it was starting to annoy me.

I bought a black ice stealth gts rad, DD tdx block, DD maze 5 gpu block, some tygon tubing, Laing D5 pump, and a danger den bay res :)

And yes it is very quiet! :D

it just makes no sense to leak test out side the case then move the compnents in.
the chances that a leak will be sprung by the process of moving the loop are pretty high.

the best way to elak test is to pullt he main ATX lead, and all other power leads connected to drives etc out, hot wire your PSU then start the leak testign while the loop is set in place, attached to each component, surrounded by tissue to detect leaks. when your ready to go live just plug the main ATX connector in and bobs your uncle, fanny's ** aunt

if the water cooling setup was made badly enough to have a 'pretty high' chance of leaking just by moving it from the outside of the case to the inside, then its not realy a good watercooling kit then. as long as all the tubing is properly connected and secure there shouldnt be any problems moving it outside the case to test, then back in after the test, unless you handle the kit roughly that is.
