lots of people have suggested using 7/12 tube and 1/2 barbs as its a very tight fit, but then can you eaisily get the tube of the barbs? also how much and what type of maintenance does watercooling in general need?

7/16", not 7/12 :p The whole idea is that its hard to get off, stops it coming off easily if you just knock the tubing or catch it on somthing. I had to change my loop a bit and had to cut the tubing off!

Maintenance wise, all the works done setting it up really. After you've bled the system and got it running, its pretty much zero maintenance.

I used to blow the rad out once in a while and just do a quick check once a month, thats about it.
