Being new to the idea of watercooling, I have a question.

Bearing in mind that I do not game, and only mildly overclock, what advantage (or not) is a watercooling unit over an aftermarket CPU cooling fan and block given that they can be in the same price area, vis:-

YOUR BASKET
1 x Corsair Hydro H60 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler *Manufacturer Refurbished Unit - 90 Day Guarantee £29.99
1 x Akasa AK-CC4013EP01 Nero 3 V2 Premier CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1150 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £25.99
Total : £66.48 (includes shipping : £8.75).

what case do you have and water cooling is good also being a closed loop that you have chosen its maintenance free apart from occasional vacuum.

The main reason for water cooling is quietness you do not need the fans running high to get good results.
