Is there such a thing as an average price for a water cooling setup?

At the moment I run a 5820k with a single Nvidia EVGA 980ti Superclocked card. (I'm also currently looking for a new case) I've always been tempted by water cooling but never been too sure about it and thought it was really expensive.

I'm probably not looking to go all out like some people, even though there are some amazing setups out there :) But I guess even just a simple setup is generally not cheap. I suppose I could buy it a bit at a time...feels less painful on the wallet that way... :)

Keep an eye on the Watercooling clearance section, plenty of bargains in there quite frequently

I am going to take the plunge soon and I am putting about 700 to one side for the project I want to do

Cool!

With 700 you should be able to pretty much buy what you want with no corners cut.

Do let us know, I am still in the process of buying my first whole custom WC loop (Issues mean its now delayed till New year)So I'll be interested in what you decide :)

Hardware moves on and falls by the wayside... CPU blocks, pumps, rads, fittings etc will last for years.
It's only GPU blocks that need to move with the times...
What case/hardware are you looking to cool? The enthoo primo or the Corsair 900D give the most options (without looking at Caselabs)
With just a CPU and one GPU around £400 sounds reasonable.

I'm looking at £500-£600 for my kit.

360 and 120 rads, 1 CPU block, 1 GPU block, DDC pump with a new top, simple small res and a lot of 12mm OD EK hardline fittings. I'm sticking with the purely Nickel ones as they're cheaper than the black or Black Nickel and I'm hopefully avoiding too many angle adapters with some intricate bending.

That doesn't include any additional plugs, fill ports, drain ports, etc.

I tried to get some things on the cheap when I made my loop (rads, fittings etc.) and to be honest now I just wish I'd spent the extra to get it exactly right - given that I'm going to be using all the same gear for my builds in the foreseeable future.

The performance is great, but the looks are a bit naff. Having said that, if you're really after looks you could probably keep spending until you're through your life savings.
