Watercooling Question?

Hi, Would a Single 120mm Rad be able to handle the following:
  • E6300 @ 3.4Ghz 1.315v
  • X1800XT 256Mb

Thanks a lot, Ben
I doubt it, the 1800xt chucks out a fair bit of heat, depends on the rest of the equipment but i think it would struggle to get rid of the heat, id say go with a double.

Yes, pretty much, they'll be slightly more restrictive flow wise but it shouldn't make that much of a difference.

Does anyone know if Flow 120 Rads are any good, seen them for sale very cheap, so just wondering?

Thanks, Ben

Why is a Dual 120 £2 dearer than a single??? Might aswell get a dual, as 2 singles would be £80odd  Just need to work out where i can put it in my V1000 with no/little modification ;)

Flow are fine. Not thermochill, but very good for the money.

Yes, but then with a dual 120mm there is the problem of fitting it.

This picture taken from the watercooling case gallery shows how a single 120mm rad can be fitted.

You could fit a dual RAD to the top of the case like this triple RAD, but this involves modding...

ORRR... as a last option, you could mount it to the back of the case using the 120mm rear exhaust somehow. Doing this might block some of the PCI slots though...

The PA is better in every respect compared to the HE. The HE only equals the performance if you're using high flow fans.

Now i know the true difference :)

Yes, the gallery was very helpful when deciding where to place things, what to buy etc.

I really want a Thermochill PA Rad now, but there a bit expensive :( How Much difference would i be looking at If I used a HE instead of PA with Sharkoon 1000rpm or Scythe 1200rpm fans?

Sorry for all the questions its my first time going watercooling so I want to get it right :)

Thanks, Ben

On the Thermochill website it says HE RADs are optimized for fans above 100cfm, whereas the PA RADs are for sub 100cfm fans.

Taken from the Thermochill website:
"The PA Series boasts from 10-40% better performance over the HE Series."
