Sometimes my room temperature can vary as much as 10c...yet this doesn't ever seem to have an effect on my processor temperature.

Does this mean the limiting factor(s) in my setup are my CPU block and pump, rather than the radiator?

...because I am currently using an EK wave that is a very nice block but is a bit old and outperformed by newer designs...would like to upgrade to a Fuzion or Apogee GT.

Also the pump will be upgraded to the DDC+alphacool top as soon as it arrives in the post so that is sorted. I'm just wondering if a new block is worth it?

Ultimately you are using air from your room to cool your cpu so if its temperature is not changing the chances are you're measuring the wrong sensor.

I'm definitely not measuring the wrong temperature...

Also I have just thrown in a mcw60 to the loop and that still has had no effect on my cpu temp.

I am using intel TAT and everest to monitor temps...to judge differences I am folding using the smp client...it seems that regardless of ambient temps my full load temps are 55-58c.
