Ok I have never water cooled but being thinking about it for a long time now.
so to start 2 questions

1) I want to w/cool my CPU (2700k) and GPU (mostly the GPU) if I bought this kit http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-082-TL&groupid=962&catid=1532 could I add a GPU water block to that with the rad it comes with, (size is the issue I think as I have a Haf X case) ..and is there a GPU water block that goes with it. Main question here being is that rad enough to cool both.

2) which water block would work on a Gigabyte GTX 680 SOC version ..as its a tad bit loud! or would I be better off buying and cooling a 980?

cheers

Yes it will work but your pushing it with only a single 240 rad, would say you need an additional 120mm rad tbh. But depends how quiet you want it more rad space = less noise.

I would say your better off getting a 970 its cooler and quicker. They dont need watercooling either .

So even if I ran it at stock you think it may still struggle?
And yeah I been looking at the 970 as well, the water cooling for me is about, making the pc quiet, the fan noise bugs the hell out of me, have a H100 on the cpu at the moment, which is silent it's the GPU, that the issue.

H100 is not silent! Especially when you start pushing it.

Well the 970 is very quiet any way (i have a G1) they have also released the waterblock for the custom pcb (EK) i have ordered one for the same reason i want silence. If your running them @ stock speed ues it will be enough cooling but why own a 2700k and not overclock it ? Its like owning a 911 and never taking it above 2000rpm lol.

It certainly wont struggle to cool those components but you might find the fans speed up more than you want when under load. Start with it and add more rads later

for cpu and gpu, you are best off looking at 360 radiators

a 360 will fit in the roof of a HAF X no problem.

Mine is overclocked runs at 4.4, and has since I got it.
But now I'm more wanting the silence that the extra speed, though was hoping to keep the OC as it is.

Thanks, so that kit I linked in my OP would not be worth buying then as the rad is only 240mm, or would OcUK swap it out and just charge the difference :p.

..and do you guys have a water-block for this graphics card it is the Gbyte 680 SOC
