I've got a question as i'm about to delve into watercooling
for the first time, ok i'm a WC noob and i'm going for a kit
a Swiftech H2O-220 Apex Ultra+ exact and while i was looking
through an installation manual i found this

Use of alcohols (Alcohol Allyl, Amyl, Benzyl, Ethyl (Ethanol), Isopropyl, Methyl (Methanol), n-Butyl) or
antifreeze products containing the listed alcohols is prohibited as it will result in deterioration of the
reservoir over-time, and will void your warranty

and this

Use of coloring die or fluorescent additives
containing particulate fillers will cause excessive
wear to the pump’s impeller bearing

so considering i was planning on using some Feser
One UV Reactive Coolant in the lovely Acid Green
colour i'm now however a little bit worried, does it
adversely affect the pump or "melt" the reservoir.

Please help me out and save my bacon
Cheers

Hiya,
Hmm kinda weird

They supply you with green dyed additive in the kit lol

I used it though i have no lighting in the case nor do i have clear case side/sides he he

Wouldn't worry about it, Clean the system when required and have fun with H2o ;)

If you're overly concerned just use distilled water with some "copper sulphate/sulfate" this is anti-fungal etc so no green slime starts to breed in ya water

Ciao

You will see loads of people on here using Feser and those res's and pumps in the swiftech kit. I have never seen or heard of a problem with it.

It might void your warranty but it shouldn't give any issue anyway. It's probably to protect them from excessive use of solvents or dyes. The Feser should be fine.

cheers mate thats exactly the kind of reassurance i was looking for.
Heres hoping the build goes smoothly because i'm going to
be hacking holes into my lovely lian li for a bit of cable management
but i really think i'm going to have fun doing so.

Thanks again

I'm sure the hydrX stuff is really good but being the first time i attempt water cooling and not trusting myself not to do something daft i think a non conductive liquid might just be the way to go.
