Hi all
I bought this system second hand and the present water cooling needs replacing. I was about to order an Arctic liquid freezer 11 water cooler 240mm. However, I started to tie myself in knots reading about narrow ILM vs Square. I have absolutely no idea regarding this and what will or won't fit. The CPU is a I7 5820K on LGA2011 V3

Any advice on coolers that will fit? Is the one i was going to buy compatible?

Thanks in advance

If it's comparable with your motherboard socket I can't see there being a problem.

Google your motherboard and cooler and see if there are any problems posted on the web.

Did you find any info on you motherboard , I looked into this again and found that you need a square ILM for the Arctic liquid freezer 11 to be compatable.

Hope this helps.

Everything installed and working ?
It is now!
I had a problem getting the old radiator out. Then a problem connecting the power lead to the correct SATA power. When I first did it the computer wouldn't boot. I changed the power lead and reset CMOS. All good and under load no higher than 48c. Took the opportunity to clean the inside of the case too. Im so pleased with the H100X instead of a new PC Build I may just replace my 980 GPU and keep it for a bit longer!

Glad it all worked out well, what you do you fancy getting or will you wait till after the nvidia 3080 release in September ?

Prices may drop

Thats my dilemma. My CPU is an i7 5820k which i feel still has legs. Head tells me to wait for new cards and buy one.
If it does what you need it to do then it does have legs, is the 980 struggling ?

What would be your budget , also resolution and refresh rate you game at ?

Game at 2560x1080. Reluctant to sell monitor as its 31" wide. So not bad. The 980 seems to play COD MW fine on present settings CPU load never over half when checked.
