Hi all,

I am after some advice on watercooling for the rig in sig, I am looking to cool the Gfx,CPU, but am unsure whether to go with an all in one system like the Zalman Reserator or to buy all the parts seperate

Any advice or pointers appreciated.

Cheers

Bry.

Overclocking really, silence dont bother me, but if I can have it then thats good aswell.

Internal or external, space outside the case is plenty and even inside the Eclipse is roomy, so either setup will do me - I dont intend on moving the case anywhere in the near future :D

the Zalman Reserator is mainly for ppl who want quiet systems and not for overclocking. you can buy watercooling kits but i would buying them separately.

buy the parts seperatly.

research your case and options of where to place the RAD.

the first few choices would be:
1/2 ID Tygon tubing

Swiftech Apogge CPU block ( proving to be quite a hit for the conroes ) - i dont believe a storm or MP-05 is worth the money. for the amount of restriction they give for the almost 1C temp difference

DCC with plexi top pump.
or Aqua Extreme 50Z ( great great pump, high head, great flow, and VERY low heat dump, but some consider it not great for utter silence)

personally i wouldn't bother with a res, just T line for the win. less restriction, smoother loop, less tubing.

cant recommend a 8800 block as yet.

Cheers for the pointers guys, appreciated :)

RB, just been looking through your case spraying thread, seriously good work man. I may have a proposal for you, add me to MSN and I will have a chat with you.

proud user of tygon tubing here, its the best tubing IMO, better than masterkleer 1/2", go for tygon :) plus the apogee is one stunning block (another part of my system) and cools very very very well, plus it looks good :D

I would dump the MCT-5 and get some distilled water from your local supermarket and some Zerex.

You'll also need 1/2" ID tubing, DangerDen Clearflex or Tygon are good types.
