Watercooling SFF System (SocketA)

I have a Soltek SFF system, which is used as a media center. However, it is difficult to keep both cool and quiet, I guess this is a common problem for SFF systems.

I've been looking into watercooling, and I am quiet taken by Zalmans Resorator kit. However, my motherboard does not have the required fitting holes around the CPU, a requirement for the Zalman CPU block.

Can anyone point me in the direction of finding a Socket A CPU block that can be fitted without the CPU mounting holes (i.e. with the clip arrangement)?

Thanks in advance,

Michael

you can buy watercooling clamps which convert the newer ones to socket A

Socket A clamp

Alternatively buy a old Socket A block, i cant recommend you a good one as i only got into watercooling rescently

From what i remember, most of the innovatek blocks have socket hold down blocks.

Also, you can get pretty much all the newer dangerden locks with socket hold down kits aswell, although they are getting rare.

Thanks

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Unfortunately, everyone seems to be out of stock on the clip kit.

I'll have an Ebay investigation, thanks again.

P.S. DaveMac, did you live in North Wales?

I lived in Rhyll for about 10 months roughly 10 years ago.
