Ive got an eheim 1250 and maze 4 gpu + tubing and clips laying about. Im in need of a radiator and rez. I want to buy something which will do both jobs and I considering one of these 2:

This could act as a bubble catcher/reservoir with the inlet at the top and outlet at the bottom, and also I can fit a 120mm fan directly on it

This will get rid of the bubbles for sure, but will it give enough cooling for a single gpu? Could angle the 120mm at this too and get an 80mm case exhaust on it too.

What one looks like the best idea? :D

You can't use a radiator as a res. As above, use the first radiator with a 120mm fan and a T-line (check the sticky if this term is new to you).

I think the bottom one is more aimed at being a Res which just has to fins to dissipate a bit more heat. I don't think you could use it as a Rad on it's own.

i like the look of the bottom one, but as they say doesnt really look much like it could dissipate the heat that well so use the top one for rad and the other for res.

Not quite true... simply drill a hole in the opposing end to the fittings, mount it vertically with this to the top and fittings to the bottom, tap it, and find a cap that fits it. Voila. Rad as a res.
