Hi all,

Plan to watercool my CPU and GFX card to mainly reduce fan noise, and with summer in mind for next year the office will get fairly warm, even with windows open, so I may need to reduce temps a bit to keep my existing CPU overclock running stable.

CPU: Q6600
GFX card (when I get it) either: 5870 or a 5970
Case: Coolermaster Stacker (bought 2006)

Anything else you need to know?

I've only got 1 HDD in there (which is a tiny little G.Skill Falcon SSD), and a DVD player, so there is a fair bit of space to play with!

As said above, I'd like to keep noise down to a minimum. If I get the 5870 instead of the 5970 I will probably OC it a bit to help with the Eyefinity setup, but SUPER cool temps are not the main aim - so I guess budget wise would be something down the middle?

I've never ever watercooled anything before, have only started reading about it this evening, but if someone wouldn't mind helping me with a basic spec to begin with I'd appreciate it (things like a quiet pump, what kind of rad etc?)

I was hoping for middle of the road prices, i.e. not best of the best, but not a cheap-and-nasty option either?

This is what I've got so far:

1: Would this setup be suitable for both the CPU and the 5870? Or will it be good enough only for the graphics card? (Realising I need to add a CPU block as well)

2: Do I need any other bits? Such as fittings and connectors? Not sure if the pump and block come with such parts?

Thanks for the help.
