Hi,

Ive been asking around because Im building a new pc, or getting someone to do it for me, with the overclocking and water cooling.

I think Ill be getting a q6600 energy efficient, not sure on motherboard yet and a 8800gtx, 8gb of ram, couple of tb of hdd.

My last pc, I got a zalman reserator.
Now Im wondering, I want to best temps and will be cooling, cpu, graphic card and motherboard. Shall I buy the new zalman reserator? I still have my old one so I can also use that I guess.
Or shall I go for something different?
I dont know what is good but I have to buy all the parts or all in one, so what do you guys recommend for quietness and best cooling?

Thanks guys

Do you really need a quad?

If gaming - stick with duel and your reserator (newer blocks required maybe)
If doing pro audio/images go quad

All the desktop quads will push a fanless reserator to it's limit at 100% load on all cores so active watercooling with low speed fans is the way to go for a quiet highly clocked quad.

of if just a reasonable OC required see here

I do image work, and have a lot of stuff running at the same time.

So the zalman reserator is the way to go? Is it the quietess watercooler, anything recommended?

Thanks for the help

not used or heard the Res xt myself - it's quiet possable a high quality rad and fans at 7v or below will be quieter. You will need to swap the cpu block for a better one - EQ supreme for example.

Personally I only have the one 900rpm fan (psu) myself, but my setup is not dealing with a quad.
