Watercooling woes for a Mini-ITX build

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at building myself a watercooled ITX rig but had a few questions regarding heat dissipation.

The build will be in a Bitfenix Prodigy case and the items to be included in the loop are as follows.

CPU: Intel i7 7790k
GPU: Nvidia GTX 980

I was wondering if anyone had an idea of what the minimum amount of radiators I would need for this build. Ideally I want this to be a pretty silent build to the slower the RPM the better.

I was thinking 2x EK-CoolStream-RAD XT one with Push pull and the other just Push. Would this be overkill for my needs?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Im running the same as you mate, 4790k, and a 980, i went with a 240mm rad in the top and a 180 in the front. but i had to buy a new 240 for the top as my old rad was too thick and wouldn't fit, its still tight now as both rads are touching.

I didn't want to settle for just a single 240 rad in the top.

Not "silent" but its a hell of a lot quieter than with stock fans i tell ya.

When I originally built my new rig (coming from a 800D watercooled) I wasn't going to go water cooling as I thought the 980 reference cooler was going to be quite quiet but after a week I could'nt stand it any longer and had to go custom water. The difference is night and day.

Thats good to hear, I have a Fractal Define r4 at the moment and I get a loud hum. DOnt think its the fans but probs the CPU cooler.

As it will be sitting on my desk I want it to be as silent as possible. would you recommend a PWM pump? D5 or DDC?
