Hi guys,

I am thinking of buying the swifttech apex watercooling kit but as it would be my first time playing with such kit I wondered if you guys could tell me how easy or difficult it is setting up?

Is it true that there are many cases where leaks have developed?

All geunine, honest responses are most appreciated..

Thanks in advance..

P.S. If there is another water cooling cool for same money around £165 which is better bang for buck please could you let me know...

Oh and finally would that kit fit into my lian li pc 7+?

thanks

It really is very straightforward to setup. I was a complete water n00b and went straight in with custom cooling. About 3 hours it took me to install because I was going reeeeeaaallly slowly. So long as you do that, it's simple.

You can always hang the radiatr off the radbox at the back if it doesn't fit. With regards to leaks, I've not had one, ever, develop. I use jubilee clips on all fittings and have never seen a drop escape. So long as you clamp, you won't see a leak. Also, 7/16" tubing on 1/2" barbs = no leaks so long as you have the weakest clamp. Even a cable tie would do for that kind of fitment.

Do I have to ensure my mobo is compatible and my case etc?

Or does the swifttech apex fits all boards and cases? points noted about hanging the rad at the back of the case...

My concern over hanging the rad out the back of the case is that will I be able to access my gfx card inputs?

thanks for your help so far

Easyrider is probably the best person to ask most of these questions - he has the kit :p. Usually you have to check the block compatability for the CPU and gfx if necessary. I believe hanging off the back does still leave room for gfx inputs though...

its nice to have it all in the case, i reckon (imo) it looks silly and fragile with the rad outside + you have to make arrangements for the tubing, you should still be able to access one of the dvi inputs (depending what card you have)

swiftech kit has fittings for all major cpu sockets
