I'm planning on going out for a photo wander on Monday and I want to find a waterfall to shoot.

Anyone know of any good locations around south yorkshire/peak district/debyshire?

Or failing that, any interesting location that's simply worth a visit?

Sorry I can't help you with specific locations but when you get the chance go get yourself 25000:1 OS maps of your surrounding area. It will show all the public footpaths, woods, vistas, wiers, hills, valleys, waterfalls and other interesting locations in your area. I've learn't so much about my local area by poring over my maps looking for a possible picturesque location.

You might need more than one. I've got 3 of my local area which cover about half an hours drive in any direction. I think the 25000:1 scale is the biggest you can get which show everything. However, it's large scale can be missleading I've driven miles to ge to a wier only to find it was about 6 inches high :p

Aysgarth Falls
Hardraw Falls - not a lot of water about at the moment, best time to take pictures is after a good downpour.

Theres a weird water thing at Chatsworth - theirs much more water than this. There doesn't seem to be any photos of the area where I always go with friends.

Not so much a waterfall but nice and interesting; Google the 'River Gardens' in Belper, Derbyshire.

Pic1 This guy really overuses HDR (check the other images). I was sat on that bench a few weeks ago, scary.

Pic2 At night the bridges are lit up, making the water look really nice.
