Hi Guys

I have been using Waterfox as the main browser on my PC now for quite a while but could never figure out how to get rid of the little status pop up that appears when a page is loading.

Have tried messing about with the Toolbar Layout but can't seem to get rid of it. Anyone know? Here's what I'm referring to by the way...

Thanks :)

You could install this addon and have a look through the various options - bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut, but I think it should do what you want.

Alternatively, there's a snippet of code you can add to userChrome.css - I can't be ***** to google for it right now, but it shouldn't be too difficult to find. :)

i wouldn't want to get rid of that. you always want to see the real URL a hyperlink points to when you hover your mouse over it.

Fair point guys. Will leave as it is then I think :)
If the popup annoys you but you still want to see the link URL on mouseover, the addon I mentioned will let you alternatively display it in the status bar or the location bar.

It's got quite a few other features also - mostly of a cosmetic nature, but it might be worth checking out.

I can't understand how the popup toast can be annoying in any way at all?

I'm assuming your input was creatively autocompleted by some kind of AI, unless FF has abilities I haven't yet discovered. :D

I remember the popup did get on my wick a bit when it first appeared (v4 or thereabouts?), but I got used to it pretty quickly and it hasn't really bothered me since.

Toast? It's a toast like notification on action hover, that's what it's called :p
