Hi all, i may of mentioned this before elsewhere so you may be aware.

I have a leaky (plastic) gutter. This gutter is on top of a wall and is leaking into the wall it's sat on, which his then coming through inside.
The guttering take water from some of the main roof and conservatory (victorian style). Because of the stupid idea of having a victorian style conservatory, there is guttering required either side, where there is brickwork and due to limited access to the gutter and the massive work and cost to replace the gutter, sealing is the only option currently.

Right-hand side of the conservatory, left of the raised wall between the properties.

The run off isn't great, but it does drain. I need a sealant to either spray or paint into the gutter, creating an extra later, sealing the entire thing.
There are a few products out there but i need something that will withstand constant water cover for those weeks of non-stop rain, there will be some standing water.

I was thinking something like Thompson's Emergency Instant Repair but not sure if it'll withstand the amount of water.

Any suggestions? I found this list: http://www.repairproducts.co.uk/page37.htm

B&Q do liquid rubber in their roofing section. The old man used this to great affect waterproofing electronics for outside, sure it would be fine for guttering!

Does the downpipe from the roof just open into the gutter bettween the conservatory and the wall? That is a terrible piece of design the volume of water off those two roof faces is always going to overwhlem that gutter and any paint on sealent you use won't last long. Personally I'd look to ro route that downpipe as a horizontal pipe along the side of the raised wall and then drop it into the same drain as the front conservatory gutter.

Yes, it does.
The whole thing is a design floor. I should be able to do that with the gutter, run it across the wall to the drain downpipe, shouldn't be too hard. Will definitely help.

Totally naff design your guttering, I wouldn't have had victorian style roof in that situation.

Make sure gutters are clean of crud, if you intend to paint them.

Good find! looks to be what i'm looking for.

Totally naff doesn't even come close. It's full on retarded. I want a solution for 5 years, then we should be good to replace the conservatory with a straight design protruding from the building, with a single end gutter... simple.

Wouldn't be too difficult to replace existing roof with a flat roof with a slight pitch & gutter along front edge.

With Flexacryl you may find using some scrim tape on any joins will help to reinforce them.
I use this tape in the past, brush on a layer of Flexacryl then lay tape on, work it in, then brush more Flexacryl.
Totally useless as an adhesive scrim tape, but superb for reinforcing joins.

And wear gloves, as it's hard to clean off.

Won't have the money for sometime to do anything drastic but basically you've described what we're looking for, would want a glass roof though.
