Does anyone use or able to recommend a waterproof cover for my 600D?
seem to be various types from basic bags to custom cases.

I just need something to keep equipment dry in rain if I am caught out or want to do weather photography.

Found some called Storm Jacket which are just a long tube with pull cords at each end. Reasonable price for the use it would get but not sure of ergonomics as it looks like best option is to use shutter button from outside bag.

I initially thought you mean't a full on cover to take it diving or something!

Yeah, any weather cover should do the job, obviously you get ones designed around different lens sizes.

Alternatively, its possible to DIY rig one together using freezer bags, which is something I've done on occasion.

a couple of weeks ago i bought one of these:

and although i've only had cause to use it once it is effective. it has toggles at the body end. at the business end of the lens it is elasticated.

the only 'problem' i had with it was trying to change lenses while maintaining some sort of anti-water integrity. but there's probably only me who is stupid enough to want to swap lenses while it's still drizzling a bit

it sounds similar to the one you have described

Ah, cheers :)
Very similar to the Storm Jackets but this is cheaper!
Think I will get one and give it a go for £10. It isn't going to get heavy use anyway, just got caught out a couple times this year so something worth keeping in the bag.
