Fortuitous thread, as I'm wondering the same thing
I have a pair of Karrimor Summit Waterproof walking shoes...they are comfortable, rugged, waterproof and sturdy, without being too heavy duty and clunky. So good for everyday walking and driving as well. However, only had them 3 weeks and the lace and the loop that holds it has snapped so I want to return them.
Would be happy with a replacement, but before these I had a pair of Karrimor Mount Mid waterproof shoes....again very comfortable, but one of the seams started leaking after about a year of everyday use.
So I'd recommend either of the above, but be aware that perhaps the quality isn't the best. Hence why I'd also be interested in alternatives
Both of the above available for around £30 at Sports Direct.
