i have 2 samsung 206bws, my graphics card has a dvi and vga out (BFG 7300GT) The monitor with vga connection has a kinda watery flow effect on with certain colours (grey windows boxes for example)

The same thing happened on my old crt monitors so i am wondering if its the card or do i need to set up the vga sync...if so, how do i do this?

thanks

Got that a little with my old belinea 22" using its single vga connector. Looked to me to be interference effecting the analogue signal.

I could never get it to go away - and that was with me using both a 7950GX2 and 8800GTX.

I'm assuming that with that screens resolution and card combo you're not so much using the rig for gaming? I'd try and invest in a bottom end graphics card with two DVI sockets and connect it to the monitors that way.

DVI should give you a perfectly stable image.

yeah, i'm not a proper gamer but i might look at 8800 when i've got the cash.

can you get DVI splitters? I've just bought a freeview box with a HDMI out and i've got it linked up to the spare dvi input. Really impressed with my new setup

As far as i know you can get DVI switching boxes which would allow you to switch between the freeview box and the second output of your graphics card.

I use a similar VGA switch box between my XBOX360 and other PC's i'm working on as a diagnostic line.
