the graphics cardsthat he has used arethe.....palit gts250 512m ddr3 256b crt dvi hdmi and also the palit 8600gt pci-e 1024mb ddr2 hdmi dvi i have also tryed them in the other slot porvided.

Dumb question time, have you tried a different DVI/VGA cable? Also, is the monitor looking on the right input?

yeh we have and still nothing i have also changed to my bros psu and its still nothing happening tryed everything really lol

Make sure the monitor is on the right display mode too.

i used it in the past i have tryed everything out of my bros commy (psu,ram,grapics card) and still nothing his works alright and boots up its just not mine. when we have tried all of his gear in mine it still did the same....stay on stand by and not load up on the screen. could i have a faulty mother board even tho its getting power to it etc.

If you have tested the other components in his comp, then its the motherboard most likely.

Yes we have. We have come to the conclusion that this is the problem, but how do we know its deffently the mobo though? before its sent back and replaced?

Well what happens when you put his motherboard in your comp but the rest of it your components?

But wouldnt that be the same as leaving his motherboard in and swapping my components with his?

Also I havent tried swapping Processors.

Well if your computer was intact it would be slightly faster and be definitive since its the only part you change (including case).

If you think it's the motherboard, then to ideally test it, you take a working system, and ONLY change the motherboard. Same case, same CPU, same memory etc.

That would be the best chance of getting confirmation.

yep turns out that it is the motherbord. turns out the ****** have some problems with there motherboards and there are many people that have the same problem. so i am rebuild my olld computer up for now so that i can still use one lol

....one person took 3 motherboards back cos he was getting the same problem...oh fun
