Ways to buy a macbook

Personally I like the John Lewis warranty option myself, if you have vouchers for them all the better (of course, you could argue that irrespective of the warranty they offer you should get two years cover by threatening them with the sale of goods act if it goes wrong....)

I bought my MacBook from John Lewis and I think it just gives you extra piece of mind knowing you've got a physical shop to take it back to in the unlikely event that something goes wrong.

It doesn't matter where you buy it, you can take it to any Apple shop and get it sorted within warranty.

If you have an extended warranty with John Lewis instead of Apple care, then obviously you can't once the Apple warranty runs out, but whilst it's active you can take it to any Apple store.

Unless there's no Apple store for miles and that's more what you meant ;)

Yeah that's what I meant. :)

If there was an Apple store anywhere near then I think it'd make more sense to just go and buy it from them, although as you say as long as it's an Apple product and in warranty with Applecare it doesn't really matter where you buy it from.
