Ways to hang shirts without a wardrobe and limited space?

My bedroom is small. I just about fit my computer desk, bed and a chest of 4 drawers in it.

I currently iron my shirts and fold them neatly back into my drawers however they always come back out creased after a week or so because of how cramped the drawers are.

I have no space for a wardrobe and no space for a shirt rail so I'm wondering if anyone could suggest another way to hang my shirts up?

I've thought of some sort of bar that sticks out of the wall and then I can just hang my shirts from that - But I don't see how it'd be practicable because the bar would need to be stable.

Another way is hanging something off the ceiling but I'm really not sure what...

I would appreciate any suggestions!!

Cheers

you could always get one of those fabric wardbrobe thingies from wilkinsons or somewhere if you are desperate.

you could even just use the frame and not put the tent crappy fabric thing over it I guess

like this £23 wooden frame so probably looks alright without the cover

I bet you can get them much smaller than real wardrobes but if they are to big then you can get shelf like things for hanging clothes on like this ( the large pole bit is telescopic btw and on that model it looks like the A frame bits holding it to the wall can be shut so it's not always sticking out from the wall so far)

I have no idea where you can buy them but I guess ebay will have them

You could probably get a nice looking towel rail as well and just use that aslong as it's only for a couple of shirts as they obviously aren't designed to hold a lot of weight

Well you're kinda screwed if you've got no room to even put up a cloths rack. Only practical option is to install a bar on the wall or ceiling but that will require drilling holes so might be a problem if in rented accommodation? If you've got any book shelves why not install a bar on he under side? You'll have to make sure the shelf can take the added weight.

If you can screw in to joists then a ceiling clothes airer would do the job. You get wall mounted clothes airers that fold away but they tend to be more expensive.

If you find one or two places for a hanger then you can hook the next hanger into the 1st and the 3rd into the 2nd and so on, so you have a long chain of hangers going downwards (like a baby's mobile) if that makes sense. Great for saving space.

move to a bigger room or get a smaller desk and a wardrobe or just iron a shirt when you need to ware it and not worry about them being crease free in the draw. Life is all about compromise!
