Waze - Free GPS Navigation
I hadn't heard of Waze until a couple of months ago, and feel that I need to spread the word on how awesome this Sat Nav app is.
It's available on iOS and Android, and after using a number of free (and paid!) sat nav apps, this free app has been the best I've used!
It's community supported, so users can edit the map with turnings that may be wrong etc. and throughout your journey you can warn other drivers about hazards and traffic on the road. It will also take other warnings from other drivers and divert you if traffic is building up ahead.
You get points for everything you report, and other drivers (or Wazers as they seem to be calling themselves
) can comment and talk to you!They're continually updating the app with new ideas, for example, their recently update has added the ability to drive with groups of friends etc. And their last update added petrol prices, so you can always find the cheapest petrol garage near you.
The point of this thread was to just get more people on it. Like I said, I hadn't heard of Waze until a couple of months ago, and now I don't use anything else. It has saved me a lot of time, and it's quite fun! So I suggest you give it a try
