WC res/pump comparability advice please help

Hi guys... Venturing into my first WC set up at the weekend and wondered what's the best res I can add to this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-170-EK&groupid=962&catid=1532&subcat= as I need a bigger one is it possible to swap out the little res for http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-128-EK&groupid=962&catid=2133&subcat= or am I being a super noob??

Aesthetics mainly, I like the look of the bigger tube res, if it doesn't hold much extra for performance then I probably won't bother. :-)

Well that shocked me I thought larger res would mean more fluid and more surface area which in turn would mean better cooling, so what I need to find is the aesthetics/performance happy medium :-)
