Finally gonna get around to putting together my W/C kit. It's been a good while since I put one together so am completely out of the loop (no pun intended) as to what are good reliable parts nowadays.
I'm not going for extreme ultra mega cooling performance, just more a setup which will keep my system running at it's current speed and just provide adequate cooling and keep the noise down, especially with the addition of the GTX480 (which I'd like to OC, but not with the fan @ 100%).
Currently I have my eye on the following basic parts (links provided for stuff stocked by OCUK):
CPU block:
EK-Supreme HF - Full Nickel CPU Water Block
VGA block:
EK 480 GTX Nickel Acetal Full Cover VGA Water Block
Radiator:
ThermoChill PA120.3 - 360 Radiator (15mm)
OR
EK CoolStream Radiator XT 360 (120.3)
Resovoir:
EK Multioption Reservoir X2 250 Advanced
With regards to the Pump, I have my original D4 Laing pump which was hardly used, but it hasnt been operative in about 3 years so not sure if I should just use this or get a new pump. If I was to get a new pump I had this one in mind:
Pump:
Swiftech MCP350 10W 12V DC Pump
I also need some help with regards to fittings, I'm not sure what Compression fittings are and how they are used, but if someone would be kind enough to suggest fittings sizes (and if possible how they work) and indeed some fittings I would be most grateful.
I should have no problems fitting this all in my 800D as it seems it was built mainly with the WC'er in mind with the amount of space.
If I'm missing out any particular essentials, please feel free to add on and suggest parts.
