WC tubing size makes little difference!!!!

Yeah but bigger tubing looks more manly :D

I never understand why people us 1/2 inch ID tubing, I modded a block the other day and wanted to pressure test it. Local DIY place only had 1/2 ID and you have to squish it to the barb with a hose clamp

7/16th all the way for me :)

8mm OD pushfit ***.

I don't think anybody expected the results to come in so close.

Cathar has been doing a lot of investigating while he heals up. He's also been looking at pumps, and found that with them flow rates are not as significant as people thought.

I use 8mm ID tubing now, used to be on 3/8" cant say there is much difference performance wise, i get excellent flow rates with the DDC Ultra so much so that the water tends to get full of air, hasnt made much difference though except the water looks white.

I will continue to wince when I see small ID tubing regardless of what 'little difference' it makes :p ;)

Just went from 3/8 twin 240mm rads, single 120mm rad, twin thermaltake pumps. cpu was 50c.

now on three 240mm 1/2", three xspc 1000 pumps, hd2900xt, chipset, and cpu on seperate loops.

cpu now at 45c ish.

not a great difference at all. Only thing that changed a lot was chipset temp. i did use a 3/8 mcw30. chipset was around 56c. now i'm using maze 4, 1/2". temp now down to high 40's, occasionally touching 50.

I'm now going to change this setup to a single ap1510, running the lot on one loop
