wc3: Line Tower Wars

Has anyone got any tips for me please. I consider myself a fairly good TD player. Can complete all the green circle TD and Wintermaul, zwuckle, zoatar.

I can usually come 3rd in LTW but never first.

I usually choose poison + ice but recently tried going mushroom for splash + ice. But still it not enough. Is electricity the way to go since late game theres not much splash to use. Im really stuck on what combo is the best.

Scorpions seem to be used by most ppl that beat me. What type are they?

As far as I know, the scorpions do a huge amount of damage, fully upgraded they do around 40k or something around that. Electricity may help a little as they stun the mobs if I remember. Just keep playing and trying out different combo's.
