Just run everst on my new raptor and it seem very slow the rate was 127mb/s and the seek time was 8.3ms
WD 150gb raptor seem slow

Burst of 127MB/s is fine, average read is where the performance is at about 75-80Mb/s as opposed to 74GB raptor 65-70Mb/s or 7200rpm drive of 55Mb/s. Seek is about right, 8ms is what these larger raptors get, the 74GB being the fastest at about 7.5ms.
