Anyone running one of these?

seems a no brainer when its the same price as a slower 2.5" SSD drive

Just putting together my storage for my new 5600x build using an msi B550 board

Already purchased a WD Black SN850 500gb M.2 For the OS to run on

I'm running the 1TB as a game drive and a Black for the OS, seems pretty good to me and quite cost effective. I'll go all PCIE 4.0 in time but not at the current prices.

I've just been looking at this too. :)

I have a Gen3 M.2 for my OS and a regular SATA SSD for games. It is only 1TB SATA SSD and I could use a bit more space so was going to pop in a 2TB SATA SSD to replace it. But the cost is more than the SN550 2TB M.2! I run an Asus B550-F Gaming motherboard and I've read the manual and it seems like it will run x2 M.2 drives without issue (GEN3x4) but will disable x2 of the x6 SATA ports when the second slot is populated (which wouldn't affect my setup). Can anyone just sanity check / confirm this for me that I'm reading it right. I'm not going to slap in a second M.2 and somehow handicap my rig?

Thanks.

Took the plunge and ordered one - direct from Western Digital as you get free express delivery (1-3 days).

@The_One let me know if you are going to get one, as I have a 10% off voucher code if you want it?

@The_One - my drive came today. Quick Crystal Mark for you in case interested. :)

Ace drives for an ace price, you wont notice any difference compared to a drive costing a whole lot more.
