WD Laptop IDE drive issues ? - i googled . . .

i was googling :-

for curioisty annd also the WD2500BEVE

2nd link came to :-

http://www.datacent.com/datarecovery/hdd/western_digital/WD1600BEVE

which looked a bit concerning

but

under the :-

http://www.datacent.com/supported_models_data_recovery.php

it seems everything has problems !

any hard drive experts care to offer an opinion ?

sometimes too much information can be dangerous !

it threw me a bit till i realised they have problems with ALL drives
