Going to pick up one of these but the earliest delivery would be next Tues

So going to drive to the Overclocker store instead and pick one up Saturday 27th

If I buy it at the store will it be the same price as 189 mile drive from Neath is a long way to go for nothing :eek:

well I got two of these today and have set them up in a RAID 0 config 32KB stripe and this is the result:

not bad really. This is using the NF4 SATA controller on my A8N SLi Deluxe board.

Well I think I may get a couple more when I start building my next system.

I'm guessing this looks about right for the level of performance for these drives.

Actually, have to say that is quite impressive!

Compares quite well with the 7200.10s, I would say.

Yes, it'll probably come with a jumper set on it to limit it to SATA1 speeds anyway.

well my drives came without any jumpers and only had SATA power connectors on them so make sure you have a couple of them to hand.

Put caching back on, you've lost a fair bit of sustained read. Sustained read is most important.

And 143 sustained is absolutely extraordinary :eek:

well i was just having a play with the different settings to see what happens.

yup, burst speed does not affect actual performance.

the average read speed should be looked at
