Anyone here a fan of WAS?

I have been looking forward to this album for a long time. Mine has just turned up. Got it for £7.99 from a well known e-media site.

Will write a full report later. I really hope this album will grow on me as much as 'With Love and Squalor' did. 'Crap Attack' was a bit of an odd release for a band with only one album out, and i didn't like all of the tracks.

I have unfortunately only seen them live once so far, but hoping to see them a few times this year. Along with Arcade Fire they are without a doubt my favourite band by far.

With Love and Squalor is one of my highest played albums, some seriously catchy stuff on there, hope this lives up to it, I'll be getting it this week sometime. We Are Scientists are awesome :)

Have very recently got into them; My gf is a big fan, will check out the new album and let you know what i think

Damn right. 'It's a Hit' is my favourite. Superb song which hasn't got bored despite the amount of times i have played it. :)

Upon my initial listen of the album I have got to say I wasn't immediately impressed with it, as I had high expectations following their first album (and ignoring Crap Attack). The songs were just not as catchy as the original, however I believe they are aiming for something different with this album (after watching them on Gonzo last night).

Although I really need to listen to it a few more times to get a real opinion of it as I am sure it will probably grow on me the more I listen to it.

It's a grower, most definitely a grower.

WaS are one of the best bands I've ever seen live and I love the first album.

After the first listen of the new album I was a bit disappointed. It's not as fast and upbeat as the older stuff, but after 4-5 listens in the car I'm actually quite enjoying it now.

Stand out tracks for me so far are After Hours and Let's See It.

With Love and Squalor grew on me an awful lot. I liked it at first, but it grew on me more and more. i think this new one will do the same and i will try to go and see them soon.

I've listened to it twice now and they are already growing on me. I will do a nice little review on each track soon, and post it here. I have to remember how i hated Bloc Party's most recent album at first, it took months of trying and trying it before i learnt to love it. Lost there original one too so i must grab that again as it is dirt cheap.

Got Pete and The Pirates and The Strokes - Room on fire album too. The Strokes and The Editors are my current favourites.

Bought it and listening to it at the moment, it's growing on me the more and more I listen, loving the first single off the album 'After Hours'.

Planning to gift this through itunes to a friend of mine, she's wac mad

Their first album is excellent, full of energy and I've seen them a couple of times in Birmingham, always been impressed with their live shows.

Not overly keen on the new material so far, it's quite far removed from the first album. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed, but I wouldn't have known I was listening to WaS if it had been on the radio. I'm seeing them live in April, my opinion will have probably changed by then.

Only really liking After Hours from it so far. I'm a massive fan of With Love and Squalor though. Saw them live end of last month in Bristol, and their set petered out toward the end, but with a very strong start. Good band. :)
