We Are Scientists - Cash Cow

This may sound a little weird, but I absolutely LOVE the verses on this one, but the chorus kind of spoils it for me. Just the lyrics combined with the music is spot on for my taste (chorus aside).

Just wondering if anyones got any recommendations for similar songs/artists based on what i've just said.

Tis a decent song. Similar artists for me would be Editors, The Kooks, Maximo Park, The Cribs, The Subways, The Infadels all i can think of :S

by the way, they are very very very good live if you ever get a chance - seen them three times and they get progressively better each time

I'm already on last.fm in the OcUK group.

The Editors are horrible, can't stand the singers voice. I don't like Interpol either.

Interpol suck, hate their sound. But am getting into the editors more, even though the guys voice is weird.

We are scientists are bloody amazing and i love the album. Plus we just managed to get some tickets for their gig in notts in novemeber a day before they sold out

Was lucky enough to get over to Austin, TX for SXSW. We Are Scientists closed it and were excellent, probably better than the album suggested to me (which i like also).

Editors were good even though they were warming up for KT Tunstall (nicely booked BBC). Had a chat with him at the bar and his voice wasn't that bad Wardie

I'd recommend Be Your Own Pet. Very much like the first YYYs album. Bloc Party, The Futureheads, Dirty Pretty Things would be popular choices. If you want to go a bit more "NME" then try !Forward Russia!, Mystery Jets, The Paddingtons etc.
