Right, been chatting to this lass for a few weeks now, originally on fb but we're onto the mobile now. So anyway, we both hate 'dates' and how it feel's too formal, fake, cheesy etc. but we haven't actually met yet (although I do recognise her, maybe from a drunken night in town :p). We want to meet up over the next few days or so and do something which won't feel datish at all, I don't want to do the usual meal/drink/coffee malarky and it's hard to think of something different with the weather being so damn pap at the moment.

I was thinking something like quad biking or paint balling, but then the problem with that is those things are usually done in groups! I'm also thinking sledging, with the amount of snow we're getting over the next few days we could do that, she's never done it either :D, so i'll need to order some sledges online.

I'm just wondering if you bright sparks have any other idea's? It has to be in the Northwest somewhere. I'm up for doing anything, she's the outdoorsie type lass, already does climbing, kayaking and caving type stuff so she's clearly up for anything. She's also proper interested in what idea's I come up with.... oh the pressure! Oh and I'm 26 she's 22.

So any idea's you guys may have, fire 'em this way! Cheers :D.

Bah! I text a few idea's to her, including snowboarding at chillifactore (thats out for sure!). She pointed out that she's not flush with money at the mo! Think I'll sack her off then haha. I would be prepared to pay for a meal for her and drinks etc.. but not that as well as snowboarding - pfft.

So it's gotta be as cheap as possible, I'm now hoping that it does snow shedloads then we can just get some sledges and go to where there's loads of snow and big hills because there ain't going to be any snow here in Blackpool, and damn there's no hills.

I'd post pictures just for you perves, but I don't think she'd appreciate it. Although she did send me a cracking one of her last night in a police uniform... she had a truncheon and handcuffs woop!

Well I haven't been on a huge amount of dates, was with someone for 7 years, then went on a date with a lass(that went uber well, so I doubt I'm doing anything wrong!) which I was with on and off for about 8 months or so, she turned out to be abit of a crazy! Other girls since then I've met out or through mates.

I know it'll still be a date, so I just wanted less datish things :D. I find them cheesy and awkward probably because I haven't done it much and it feels like you're forced to get to know each other and chat about yourself/her. Where as if it's while you're doing something fun it's a lot more interesting and you can get to know the personality of the lass a lot more... it goes both ways :).

I've suggested (because she's skint) that I cook her a meal and we rent a few dvd's out, so we're using that as a backup plan if sledging is a no-go. Just gotta make sure my flatmate hasn't invited folk round. She said she's a fussy eater though, and doesn't like eating infront of people she doesn't know!!! This is hard work arrgh.
