You mentioned nintendo and Sony but not Microsoft so can I moan at them? Battery pack in my original controller from 2008 can out live the battery on the controller I got Christmas just gone

Batteries do seem to be holding back almost every mobile device really, I mean, even my phone only lasts a day between charges. Battery tech just seems a little slow at catching up with everything else.

better than unfurling a 4ft square sheet of PhotoVoltaic cells, finding somewhere to put it in direct sunlight and having to explain to everyone else that you're not crazy?

My Oooold Sony Erricson would last the guts of a week with normal use. The biggest problem was remembering where the charger was...

But it didn't email, browse, have a colour touch screen, have 3D games, an MP3 player etc etc

Oh and if anyone here has tens of billion pounds kicking about to open a battery tech R&D lab, don't hold back

not everyone works with computers or has access to one during the day.

plus solar panels are cool and if the boss says anything just mumble some 'green' rubbish.
