We Happy Few (XB1/W10)

Early access starts end of July on steam, can't wait love the art style and the weirdness one of the best trailers so far.

I think it's post WW2 where the UK had to do some terrible things to win the war. Society took drugs to make them happy, as the reality is so dark and horrible. The player has stopped taking those drugs and is now seeing the world for what it is.
 
Bioshock meets 1984. Love it. Brilliant trailer, storyline has me hooked already.
 
I'm not sure about this now, I watched the interview with the dev and it seems it's a procedurally generated game with story segments. I really hoped it was going to be a good single player story but that and procedural generation don't really go hand in hand :(

Yea, this game isn't going to be what a lot of people think.

Previous vids of the game had it looking pretty janky, though that was last year.

I was hoping for a good Janky as you put it story, But it's another blooming survival game where every 5 mins your either hungry/thirsty/tiered and need to eat sleep or drink, hate these games as it gets in the way of playing a good story :(

such a shame.
