As a team we are now 4th in Seti@Home :(

We were passed by BroadbandReports.com Team Starfire earlier this month and have just been passed by Czech National Team in the last 24-48 hours.

A minutes silence for the passing of a once great team.

Now that you've all finished crying into your beer, heres the future.

We will be overtaken by the following shortly:

Code:
 	                          Days
SETI@Netherlands 11.5
L'Alliance Francophone 25.1
SETI.USA 73.4
BOINC Synergy 102.0
Hardware Upgrade - Seti@home	137.4

Shame really, I know we lost MoS and the big hitters in the switchover, and everyone has their ups and downs with regards output, just look at my erratic output! :D Just wish we could get our top 3 back, that would probably have kept us at #2 for some time.

As has been discussed in another thread we are too fragmented, maybe its time to pick another project and dominate in that, if we can, not sure myself, I've been so dedicated to S@H for so long that I can't see myself doing anything else right now so I guess I'll just plug away.

Mind you, might all be for naught if they run out of cash ay.

Chin up chaps. Maybe we can pull one out of the hat. :D

the thing with boink is its harder to borg PCs with it.
seti classic command line could be setup to work silently, no-one need know its there!
folding works like that kinda, not quite the same tho, I used to run SetiQ and have all the clients I'd installed go though it, but can't do that with boink.
also, theres no tiffys, no stashing so no more races etc, its just not as fun!
I wonder if MOS ever even checks these forums anymore, would be nice to know what he thinks about things now

Sorry mate there is a lot of misleading comments in there I have to put right.

Boinc is as easy to borg with as sei classic was. Just install it on one PC copy the files necessary over to the BR script folders and distribute it out. Silent and just as "silent" as the old version with a bit of tweaking.

Its a CLI just like seti classic and CLI Folding.

Yes there is no setiQ, but there isn't for any other Distributed Networking application either but you can set the client to cache easily.

There are tiffys, there is no stashing admitedly (although you can do it a bit) but thats by intention and there isn't really with any other application (Folding) either.

The MoS guys were absent most of the time during seti classic, don't think they will ever show up again personally. :(
