Weak point of my system, need upgrade!

Hi there, just looking for some guidance really.

At the moment I have a Harman/Kardon AVR 255 receiver, a pair of Mission M73 floorstanders and a Mission 70C1 centre speaker.

It can't half thump out some volume, but I'm looking for a clearer, crisper sound.

Which item would you upgrade? I got the kit from a mate, so no idea what cost how much... but the amp looks expensive.

Mostly music, using stereo 3.5mm input from laptop via a decent cable.

Not got any other sources.

Excellent, thanks for the help guys. Was thinking of picking up some new floorstanders anyway, the M73s are looking a bit tatty these days.

Was thinking of some B&W DM603 S3s, overkill perhaps? They look good, and I can get a set for about £350 2nd hand.
