Lol! I'm sorry guys...I just assumed that everyone knew what a Boreas TEC was. It is mounted external behind the case...what was thought to be a tec or some kind of thermal pad under the water block is really nothing more than some painter's tape sealed with "Dragon Skin" to preclude any condensation worries.
After reading the last post reffering to some bad reviews on the motherboard I went and had a look myself....I almost laughed myself out of my chair. Really, some of those people need to get into another line of work. This is a micro mb in a SFF case which is capable of near 5GHz in it's present state...what more could anyone expect from a 24/7/Game rig? If I wanted to do serious bench work I would use my Classified and it definately would not be in a case lol.
Future plans are to mount all on a furniture grade wooden base with a smoked acrylic cover to conceal the Boreas and cabling at the rear.

Why do it? Simply because I can. Show us some of your work Legion on some cheap watercooling...
For the one who thought the mb was blk limited, such is not the case friends.
Um rickss69 for those of us who don't have magnifying glasses stuck to our screens could you please enlarge (or zoom in on) those CPU-Z figures as I can't see jack, short of its a Core i7
Its a nice build, but I've got to agree with Legion, for the money that has been put in and the fact you've got SFF, but half the parts are hanging out the back - is it worth it?
Just wondering really why you decided to go SFF if you were planning on putting the Boreas TEC in? Also if you were wanting the best of the best, which you seem to be aiming for, why not get a better GFX card if its gaming you're after?
*edit* My biggest question - how on earth do you game with that trackball?

Never had any intentions of putting the Boreas "inside" the case...that would have been epic for sure lol.
Not a case of going for the best. I had an unfortunate accident with this cpu and decided to retire it from benching. With no hope of ever rma'ing it I decided to put it to some use in something I enjoy. This 5870 is overkill as it is for online gaming.
As far as how do I game with that mouse...very well thank you!
