I'm beginning to get slightly annoyed at the BBC Weather forecasts. Every day for the past week or so it has predicted that the next four days will be clear and sunny with low humidity. The weather has been consistently cloudy and extremely humid and muggy. When the next day rolls around, all they same to do is change that day names, so today it's still showing that the next four days will be lovely sunshine etc.

I hate this humidity.

its just a prediction so they are likely to get it wrong

True. But it's not like they're pulling the information out of a hat, it's based on past information and barometric readings. I know meterology isn't an exact science but it is a science.

At the minute it's more like a weather horoscope "Dark skies will burden the present but this week promises a change in fortune with sunny afternoons and pleasantly cool evenings. If you'd like more information on your personal forecast, drop round Michael Fish's house with a baseball bat"

I gave up using the BBC weather site a long time ago as it just never seems to be right. They claim to get their weather data from the Met Office, but the two sites rarely agree with each other.

Someone at workdidn't believe me how bad it was the other day. The local 5 day forecast showed that day as being cloudy with sunny spells. The one day forcast showed heavy rain. Neither were right!

What would you recommend as an alternative? I've never found metoffice.gov.uk to be too accurate either...

Sure, the Met Office is only about 2% more accurate than this prediction:

"Its going to be the same as yesterday."

Channel 5 weather with Lara Lewington. That way you won't mind if the weather forecast is totally wrong.

Weather.co.uk shows that from Wednesday its gonna get much cooler. I hope its true! Its blistering in London man!! I've just been to College and it was so hot damnit! Bring on the rain
