I've been reading around that we're / we have transitions from El Nina to El Nino around about now May time.
Would I be right in thinking that El Nina would have been responsible for our very wet autumn and early spring? I recall it being wet from October onwards and then we had a dry January and then it was wet again in Fed March.
And now we're entering into an El Nino phase so my understanding is that the jet stream shifts south and so all the rain from the north atlantic gets shifted south.
So where I am going with this is we can we expect a hot and dry summer? Even though last summer was El Nina and it was really dry in June/July/August time...
