Anyone else experiencing very high temperatures?
Atm it's +10C at least on everything, my cpu is hitting 70C, my chipset is hitting 40 C, my gfx are hitting 60 C ( zalman cooler, usually is around 45C load), hdd's hitting 41-46 C...

These are all load temps btw...

So far system is stable and nothing is messed, but I'm woudnering can all these high temps damage my pc parts:

(sayign specs here cos Sig doesnt seem to work temporarly, imageshack :(...)

P: D 925 @ 3.9 ghz
2x1gb geil ull pc6400
1x1 gb nanya pc4300
1x1gb samsung pc3200
Ram is overvolted to 1.95 volts (cheapo 2 ram sticks have voltage of 1.8 and no heatspreaders...), geil is under default voltage...
Ram @ 1:1 with fsb: 260x2 mhz...
Gfx 6800GS with Zalman VF700-CU
hdds: 5... Maxtor,Hitachi,2x Seagate and WD...
Chipset is 945p on an Asus p5ld2...

Any temps dangerous for my hardware? Worried about hdds and chipset and ram temps...

If the temps worry you...You could aways knock the overclock down a bit on sunny days..

The gfx at 60c and chipset at 40c should be fine....But I don't know what your cpu limits are..

my shuttle normal runs with the hardrives at about 50c on any day..

Im having major heat problems at the moment. For some reason my room is like a sauna in this heat, currently my cpu is idling at 45C when its usually 30C :( Backed down my overclock and everything is fine but I am worried, specially since this isnt anywhere near as hot as its going to get.

Same here, over the last few days. My CPU temps have gone up a few degrees, even bearing in mind I've dropped my overclock from 3.52 to 3.0 :o
My chipset temp is worrying me cos it's hit 63c as I write this, with my window open, a fan going and almost 2.00 a.m. And the case is packed with fans-2x120mm inlet, 250mm side, 120mm exhaust, 92mm exhaust and 92mm roof.

Gonna try to sort that over the weekend. Maybe remount chipset heatsinks with AS5, and re-route my cables.

Worst case, if it's a really hot summer it goes back to standard settings. Although that may not be for long-waiting to see what the Intel prices are like after July.

My old PC would have been crying in this heat but this one is holding out nicely atm.

CPU (back at stock speed and undervolted) @ 31C
Northbridge @ 40C
8800GTX idling @ 54C

all fans are at 50% speed

Lo

Well there isent much you can do unless you go water or vapo chill.. you want to try find out the max temps for your CPU, just google it.

All my temps are up and around 7 - 10c but nothing to worry about what so ever.

If your all worried now then you all have a lot more worrying to do because its just gonna get hotter.. and that wasent a dig to get a bad reaction I'm just saying hehe...

you might want to consider the Antec 900 Gamers case that was mentioned in this post already, I've built 2 pcs in the last 2 weeks for friends both using that case and imho thats probably one of the best air cooled cases around...

I'm using a modded Chieftec Full Tower case from Gladiator came with a prebuilt watercooling kit 2 120mm radiators to keep the cpu cool.. it dosent go above 54c full load but after hours of gaming kinda stays around 50 idle normally 42 but thats because of the ambiant temps and its water :D

So yeh you all don't need to worry.... just keep monitoring your temps.. maybe apply thermal paste to your motherboards chipset and even replace yout GPU paste and err CPU.. all this will help a tad and this is from personal experience.

/hugs homebrew water setup

Room ambient : 21.8'c

Water temp after cpu (idle) : 23.9'c
CoreTemp (idle) : 21'c 21'c

Water temp after cpu (100% load for 6 mins, small fft) : 25.4'c
CoreTemp (100% load for 6 mins, small fft) : 43'c 43'c

bring on the sun !!!!! :) ;)

wait till the summer really starts. there'll be a thread every 5 minutes reminding us how hot it is and how hot their components run :o

btw it was 28c in my room.....at 1 o'clock this morning. with the windows open. so stop complaining :p

Well arnt we lucky :)

I think my room temps have been well over 21.8c more around 28c..

I can only assume you live somewhere really cold or you got air con.. even my Test pcs at work with the air con on dont run that cool. and that cpu must be a darn good revision.. I live in south west london in a ground floor flat and I tend not to leave doors open or windows. I dont want to have Chavs robbing my place :)
