I have a macbook which I take to uni and use wifi to browse the internet etc between lectures, but I can't get msn to work on their network. I have seen people with windows laptops using msn, but they might be using a slightly different network. For some reason the university doesn't support macs at all and so mac users can only connect to the unsecured version of the network!

I have tried to get the Microsoft web messenger to connect, but apparently it doesn't like Safari or OSX. It doesn't really help that this is my first mac, so I don't really know my way around the OS yet.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get msn running?

Thanks :).

I tried Firefox but couldn't get it to work :(. Thanks for the link Mohinder, that's working perfectly on my home network so hopefully it will do the same at uni!

Which MSN client were you using Vixen?

You can use a native client instead of a web-based one by changing the proxy to HTTP rather than using the standard proxy that MSN usually uses. I had to do this when I wanted to use Adium at my University.
