Hey guys,

Im having issues recently with my web browser. Im using Google chrome and all has been fine for the years ive used it but recently it has been popping up with various messages upon startup saying that preferences cannot be read, are invalid or corrupt.

Upon seeing that I figured uninstalling and a doing a fresh install of it would do the trick, it hasn't.

Once clicking past that initial message I can use the browser as I would normally so its not a huge issue just an annoyance. What IS causing me issues however is that when browsing sometimes pages will load as blank white screens. No matter how much I refresh the page nothing happens and all other windows open in that browsing session also become white (including new tabs if I try and open them). The only way to view the webpage is to close the browser and open it again, hoping that it doesn't replicate the white screen again. I've had to do this 3 times just to post this thread for example!

Any ideas what is going on?

Im also having issues with GeForce Experience now being unable to optimise my entire library which may or may not be linked.

Thanks in advance!

When you reinstalled did you remove the Google AppData directory?

C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\Google

Uninstall, then remove the directory above (warning: this will remove all your bookmarks etc.)

Unfortunately after 1 day of working properly the browser has gone back to cocking up all the time.

Everytime I launch the browser upon starting the PC up it complains it cant get the preferences or some crap and its generally just a pain in the ass. Still doing the blank screen thing too after a while of browsing webpages. Was doing some clothes browsing last night on a website and after about 10 mins everything went blank and I had to close and re-open the web browser and start again from scratch. Pain in the damn arse.

Im thinking at this rate of just dumping chrome and going with firefox.

Uninstalling chrome doesnt seem to do anything. Im using IObit uninstaller to remove the program too which deletes the registry keys and anything else it leaves behind.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I foresee a grand falling out between chrome and myself!
