I'd appreciate it if any kind soul could help resolve this problem. A while back my pc went a tad wierd so I formatted 2 days ago.

Everything was back to perfect . . for a while.

Now I can't access the internet properly, yet I can download from Bit Torrents and access online games. I can access OCUK and google too. But that's about it.

However almost any other site won't load properly. This includes my email. It's really getting to me as I can't web browse in general and I can't access websites that I need to. Images won't load or the site will completely mash out. Text will be all over the place so will templates on certain sites.

Here's an example:

This is happening in both FF and IE.

I've contacted my ISP and he advised the line is fine and it's my software. I've disabled and done trial and error through almost everything and it still won't work.

I'd appreciate it, if anyone could help me through this.

Thanks

Have you reset all the ie settings as in tools> advanced settings> reset ?

Have you also checked the security zones settings and reset them ?

That's where I would start.

Hi there,

I've had no luck at all :(

I used to get similar when the MTU was not set right on my router.
Care to elaborate?

My router has no such settings. It's a 3Com Adsl Wireless router.

How weird. I had an almost identical problem last night, something i've never run into before. I had no problems with messenger, outlook was fine but FF and IE weren't loading anything. I hadn't changed anything. It just happened.

After turning the router on and off a number of times without avail, I reset it. Did the trick.

To add to the 'oddness' 2 friends on msn had exactly the same problem.

Is the interaweb planning a war?

I have exactly the same thing on my PC at work, I thought it might be a parsing bug in firefox but other firefox installations at work don't have the problem. And we're all behind the same firewall, so go figure. Personally I'm gonna blame Apple's website..
