web cam for holiday

Hi going to florida in a few week time and need a web cam for my lap top
it will be used with skype (villla has free wifi)
i want it to be able to be set up so my mum and dad can watch the kid in the villa pool
it needs to have auto focus becouse of the diffrant distance it will be used at
was looking at the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 or the Logitech QuickCam Sphere AF Webcam

question ive got are:
how far away can they focus
the tracking on the sphere can it be moved from a remote location
is there any others that anyone will recomend?

Is this a private villa because if theres other kids in the pool apart from your mum and dads then you could get into bother using a webcam to watch the pool
 
you may also want to look at the creative live optia Af as well
ive not long bought the non AF version of the cam and the quality of the live pic is brilliant
a lot better than the old web cam i bought years ago
 
I just got a Logitech 9000 and like it a lot!

The camera has a fantastic field of view so I would say to set it up covering the whole pool rather than trying to zoom in and follow a moving target! The panning is not that fast.

The mike seems to pick things up really well so that shouldn't be an issue.

The 9000 will track faces automatically but I assume that you would be a distance away to keep it dry so it may not work.
