Web design books

Can anyone recommend any complete web design books (including XHTML/CSS)?

I'd rather not trawl through loads of different tutorials and if possible would just prefer it to all be in one book so i'm getting more of a complete learning guide.

Are you looking to learn how to do web design - as in photoshop/illustrator

or web development - XHTML/CSS/PHP/ASP/SQL

There seems to be a lot of confusion on here lately as to what is what.

I said XHTML/CSS in my first post, but if you know any photoshop/illustrator books for web design than please do recommend them also.

I already know some and i'm learning more ASP.net seperately
